Tortuga Lodge is located about 2.5 hours east of Caracas by car. Distance to the Caracas Airport is about 3.5 hours.Description:Sun, the ocean and a long lonesome beach. This lodge is located on a 30 km long, white sandy beach with coconut trees. Tortuga Lodge is the only accommodation within the national park “Laguna de Tacarigua“ and can only be reached by boat. You will have to cross the lagoon passing many mangroves and then walk over a quay to reach this remote beach. The boat ride will be an unforgettable experience. It is the best time to watch the red Ibis or Flamingos, just two of the 150 different bird species found here. Our kitchen will spoil you with typical Venezuelan food like Lebranche fish or Guacuco-clams in our Churuata. Spend some unforgettable moments on the marvelous beach that separates the Caribbean Sea from the lagoon. Tortuga Lodge has 9 cabañas with a king size bed and two single beds on the second floor, as well as 8 additional standard single, double or twin rooms. The rooms are basic but comfortable. They offer a fan and a private bathroom. For the shower we only have slightly salty water. Electricity is produced by generators therefore it will be switched off during the day and late at night. Flashlights are recommended.

Posada Santa Margarita is located on #4-36 on Bolívar street, in Puerto Cabello’s historic center. Just over two hours drive from Caracas and 35 minutes from Valencia.Description:This posada, set in the Heart of Puerto Cabello’s historic center, is just a few meters away from the sea and close all the local attractions, such as the magnificent beaches of Alcatraz, Santo Domingo, La Ciénaga and Isla Larga, as well as amazing waterfalls and rivers, part of the San Esteban and Henri Pittier National Parks. You may also go for scuba diving adventures in local shipwrecks, walk through the tropical forest or simply enjoy the sun in the region’s many beaches. Santa Margarita offers 12 rooms, equipped with air conditioning and a fan; one of the rooms is located on the terrace, ‘el torreón’. All rooms offer a fully equipped private bathroom with hot water and all amenities. There is a pool available, a billiards room and a gourmet restaurant.
